Claude Managed Agents go self-hosted — your containers, your firewall, your rules

Anthropic unlocked a major enterprise gate: Managed Agents now execute inside customer-owned containers. Bash, file ops, and code execution run behind your firewall with your egress rules. The agent loop stays on Anthropic's orchestration layer, but the worker long-polls outbound-only — Anthropic never dials in. Critical new feature: agents can connect to private MCP servers (internal tools not on the public internet). Claude Code also gets nested sub-agents (agents spawning their own sub-agents for recursive task decomposition) and plugin search.

Siri rebuilt as a true AI agent — screen context, multi-step actions, cross-device continuity

Apple completely rebuilt Siri into an agent that understands screen context, searches across messages and photos, executes multi-step actions across apps, and maintains conversational memory. Cross-device continuity: start on iPhone, continue on iPad or Mac without losing context. Over 1 billion active devices — the largest AI agent rollout in history. On-device processing, private cloud, and external auditing keep privacy as Apple's competitive edge.

Coze 3.0 (ByteDance) — multi-agent collaboration platform with project persistence

ByteDance shipped Coze 3.0, a multi-agent platform supporting one-user–multi-agent and multi-user–multi-agent workflows. Project-based management with persistent assets, workflows, and knowledge bases across tasks. Native integration with Claude Code, Codex CLI, and OpenClaw. The thesis: specialized agents collaborating like a human team, not a monolithic super-agent. Agent orchestration is becoming an infrastructure layer.

📡 To Watch

Kimi Work (Moonshot AI) — hundreds of agents on desktop

Desktop platform coordinating hundreds of AI agents simultaneously for research, analysis, reports, presentations, and workflow automation. Local-first architecture appeals to privacy-conscious organizations. Multi-agent systems as the dominant paradigm keeps accelerating.

OpenAI launches dedicated Robotics Division

Led by Aditya Ramesh (creator of DALL·E, key leader behind Sora). Massive hiring for hardware engineers, ML researchers, and robotics specialists. Near-term: robots assisting technical workers. Long-term: capable personal robots. Robotics framed as the natural extension of AGI — direct competition with Tesla, Figure AI, and Agility Robotics.

Huawei HarmonyOS goes AI-native — agents at the OS level

Deep AI agent integration at the operating system layer, not the application layer. On-device execution across phones, tablets, and PCs for lower latency, better privacy, and less cloud dependency. Agents understand user intent proactively and execute autonomously across apps and devices. Controlling the OS may become the decisive platform advantage in the agent wars.

📊 Trend

This week's theme is unmistakable: agent infrastructure is moving down the stack. Anthropic pushes execution into customer containers. Huawei embeds agents in the OS. Apple rebuilds Siri at the system level. Coze and Kimi Work make multi-agent orchestration a product. The agent layer is no longer an application — it's becoming the platform itself.
